8" x 10" Watercolour Pet Portrait
Original watercolour portrait painted by myself onto 8" x 10" watercolour paper. All animals welcome! Upon purchase, please email me the photos) of your pet that you would like painted, following the guidelines below. The painting will be mounted which will make its overall size 10" x 12" and it will require a size 10" x 12" frame. However, if you would like your painting unmounted, so that you can get it professionally mounted and framed, or for another reason, please specify this in your email. High quality image
Good lighting (photos taken outside in sunlight will produce the best portraits). Lighting will effect your pets colouring drastically, natural light is always best to capture your pets colouring accurately. However, if you like the look of dramatic lighting (e.g. bright sunlight or high contrast lighting) I am more than happy to paint photos featuring this type of lighting, as long as you understand that this will make the colouring of your pet different to their everyday life colouring. (If you’d like visual examples of the effects of lighting, please email me for more details)
Please ensure you are happy with the photo you send me. The better the photo, the better the painting!

Protecting your painting:
When you decide to display your painting, please keep it out of direct sunlight as this can cause significant fading over time. Your painting will be mounted (unless you have requested otherwise) and can be put straight into a picture frame, which will help to protect it further and prevent any accidental damage.
